I think the more interesting speculation in this article is that Nintendo will not necessarily make a DS2-this technology could be applied to a single screen handheld, and the GameBoy brand could make a comeback.

I don't think that'll happen :P

I don't know, if they made a single touch screen instead of dual screens I think it could definatly work out that way. However I think a dual screened system is more likely because Nintendo will want to keep backwards compatability. The only thing that worries me I remember when Microsoft teamed up with Nvidea for the X-Box and then fell out with them. They had to pay royalties for every game they made backwards compatable on the 360. I would not want to see Nintendo loose backwards compatability as I have a huge library of DS games.

I'll be satisfied with a GameCube power handheld, I doubt the graphical difference between the two will work much in PSP2's favour. I bet developers will look towards multiplatforming with the PSP2 and DS2. In the end I am really exited for the next DS but am not sure whether to expect it in 2010 as many do, I think Nintendo may wait for sales to dip a little further I mean 200K a week is still way to good for Nintendo to launch a new platform.

Unless Nintendo knows when Sony plans on releasing the PSP2, then I could see Nintendo launching its next console alongside Sony's!
