Great choice, you won't be bale to settle for the skimpy FPS on consoles once you start on PC though.
Get UT2004 and Battlefield 2. Skip Crysis and UT3 since those games were very mediocre. If you can run GoW then you can definitely run Half-Life and TF2 as well. UT2004 and TF2 with all the content (free of course, you are playing on the PC now) out from the community.
Get Warcraft 3 and Sins of a Solar Empire as far as RTS games go. If you like the DOTA in WC3 then look up League of Legends, it's a free game that's just like DOTA. Also check out Civilization 4 and the Total War series, they aren't RTS (well you ca argue Total War has RTS elemnets) but they are extremely good.
