We did try to fix the RROD problem, well my brother did actually, and whilst we got some improvement, it still kept failing after a time. Although you the you speak here, you make me feel like I should try it myself in case my bro did something wrong perhaps. Is it somewhat guaranteed to work?
If you look at the 7th response here, you'd see why I don't bother with the local repair shops (which are actually few and far between)
