I disagree. LBP is an example of a PS3 game that is repetitive and simple, but people seem to like it as well. It's a co-op multiplayer game. When are co-op multiplayer shooters not repetitive? Since when do they have a "point." It's rediculious to believe that games have a point beyond entertainment, and I don't understand why someone would choose to take a stance against this game without some other motivation... |
I play, and have played, a bunch of boardgames. For myself, what Left 4 Dead does, is approximate what I get when I play a multiplayer cooperative boardgame, but in a FPS format. It is fun getting people together to play through the game, and be surprised by randomization, and have to work things out on the fly. This makes things enjoyable on the whole. It may seem "repetitive and simple", but when you talk about multiplayer, it is worth it to have that. That is similar to what one seens with Mario Kart, Brawl, or even Halo.
