The people who truly care for image quality do not look for it on the PS3 or Xbox 360 so the argument is being carried on by people who only care insofar as to back up some stupid console points match against people who own a different console. 
In motion its a different story, however I know how little people still care for the quality in motion due to the lack of high quality feeds being used for comparison. If you bring youtube or gametrailers into something like this you are NOT PIMPING because people who can tell the difference would truely never use those two places as a source.
