I agree that if certain games only get a console release, more will buy a console, hence why Exclusives are so important. But there's soo many games on PC that performs better, gets free updates (TF2 for example), and the community among PC based games are better than any console released so far.
So i think that if one developer decides to go Console only, another will be there to harvest all the free market shares. Like MW2 and BF:BC2 for example. DICE went out a day or two after IW droped the IWNet and no dedicated servers, to say that they have always done dedicated servers and understand the importance of it, i.e..IW just made DICE a whole lot of money.
