You dont pirate because you can, although it helps :) But you do it because you dont feel like spending money on shitty games. But i mean, take certain MMOs and RTS like WoW and Heroes of Newerth, where you are connected via your account. Everything is measured by your account. You can't really pirate them because then the game loses its value and purpose.

But for a "meh" SP like MW2, people download it because they don't feel like spending money on a "meh" experience. Or Assassins Creed, also had a average SP that one can understand why people might want to pirate it.

But like i said previously. You can't just blame pirates, you have to look at Why they do it. Just like Movies and Music is pirated. Now theres iTunes, Spoitfy and Voddler on the way. So in this case where IW droped the bomb on PC gamers, obviously people of the PC gaming community will pirate the game before purchasing it, they've been waiting for 2 years, and a month before release they get sucker punched. If IW had released a Demo of the game, to showcase that their IWNet is a valid substitute for Dedicated servers and PB, PC gamers might have had a chance to adapt and find a way to make it work.

So sure, piracy might be a problem, but to put it all om piracy and not look to the real issue to why it exsists, is narrow minded and usually just a industry excuse to why they do certain things.
