I only included Final Fantasy games i've beaten.
Whenever i get into a FFXII fix i always end up off subject grinding liscense points until I lose interest... and then when i go back i start over.
It's my fatal flaw with RPGs. If I go a week without playing it I need to start from the begining.
From what i know of Vayne i'd probably put him somewhere in the 3-5 range.

3-5 ain't bad considering that his ranking where you are in the game owuld be based almost solely on his speech in Dalmasca.

In reality i just don't hold Final Fantasy Villians in general high regard.
They're mostly traditional type villians who seem to have no point but being evil, or there reason for being evil is completly tenuous.
Final Fantasy does a lot of things right... but when it comes to the villains... they usually botch it up.

I actually mean excluding Kefka for the record.
For favorite he's up there... but I kinda hold a special place for Lavos from Chrono Trigger... at least if we're excluding SRPGs.
Mainly because....
A) He's not really a villain. He's a lifeform doing what he needs to do to survive and reproduce. This was... revolutionary at the time. Or felt like it anyway.
B) Lavos controlled the evolution of the world. He literally created the heroes who beat him.
