If I recall, the thing with Halo 3 was that it was best optimised for loading from the disk so when the installing to the hard drive feature came out, there would be no benefit from doing it with Halo 3. So unless there is a real problem with it, you'll probably be okay.
Did that help at all, or is there some other warning I don't know of?
