No, that's a pretty bias statement of "because rebates are usually focused on items that have trouble selling." Sure 360 isn't selling as well as PS3 at the moment, but that doesn't conclude to it "having trouble selling." It's all about what Microsoft and the company come to an agreement with. Sony can do the same, (and has done before) with PS3 promotions.... yet they're not doing it at the moment.

The 360 isn't having trouble selling.  The big retailers over-predicted and over-ordered.  Hence the apparent "deals".  There's a difference.
