Next time you complain about something free, ask yourself: "Does the competition even offer this?"

Does it really matter if what they are offering isn't good?

In a perfect world where everything is good and works perfectly then yes, very valid question, but things don't always work perfectly.  In the PS3 browsers case, it's far from perfect.  Yes, it's there and it's better than what MS offers since they don't have one at all, but it's still a joke.

The little I have used it, it crashed a lot and was horribly slow.  In the time it takes for me to turn on my PS3, open the browser, browse to my desired page (even assuming I have bookmarked and don't have to type it in with the controller), and then actually view it assuming I haven't crashed I could have viewed 10 pages on my laptop (and even watch TV at the same time!).

Yes, I get it's free and they don't have to offer it, but that still doesn't excuse it from criticism.

Nowhere in there did I say it was perfect, or even great. It's a decent, slow browser that gets the job done.

You seem to have terrible luck with PS3 and many things surrounding it. I've never had a browser crash, and most sites (but not all) load fairly quickly for me.

So, feel free to criticize it. The fact that it's implimented and is free though (and not mandatory to use) leads to me questioning why people choose to hate on it. Do you have to use it? No. Will it save your ass if you have to use it due to a dead computer/laptop? Yes.
