The worst kind seems to be those who've moved across from PC gaming to consoles. They seem to have this burning desire to 'prove' that they haven't settled for second best and constantly need their choice to be validated. They're easily spotted as they tie themselves in knots trying to justify their choice and convince others PC gaming is dead/ dying. Their insecurity and constant trolling of this forum is pretty sad.

I think they're the best kind. They've seen both worlds, and they have distanced themselves from PC elitism. Plus they are able to admit that PC gaming is infested with piracy and hypocrisy.

Hmm depends on why they moved.I think mudface was pretty spot on. Besides, mudface wasnt talking abuot *everyone* who switches or plays both, only those who make tons of silly troll posts begging for negative attention.

I play consoles as well as PC, but I certainly do not fit any of your stereotypes.

Good for you. You belong to a minority then. But I do fit in the stereotype. I steal every software I can, just like everyone I've met and talked with in my country.

The difference is that I admit it, instead of blame it on the developers or make up hypocritical untrue reasons for not paying for my entertainment. And I am concerned about piracy, i want change, I want people to see the problem.

Speak for yourselves. Not sure what your country is, but you need to stop self-projecting on others. In fact, more and more your whole troll fest looks like it stems from some internal mental process of your own regarding your personal actions.

If you feel guilty, you yourself should stop stealing instead of flaming others for stealing you assume they are performing... idiotic trolling and stereotyping does not absolve you of your own bahavior.

Who is projecting now? Why u assume I have some hidden deep-psychological motives when I just clearly explained my reasons?

And why u call me a troll several times? Especially in this thread which is about the ridiculous over-reaction by PC gamers and hate towards MW2.

Geez.. I can't believe I' having this topic so many times. Are you blind or what? Just because u yourself may purchase games, dont u see and read the evidence about how incredibly huge PC piracy is? All round the world.

I have written extensively on these forums about this topic, where after checking a good part of your post history.. when it comes to PC gaming you mostly spout nonsensical one-liners with no reasoning to back them up.

Also, see new part I highlighted - that is actually a centerpiece of the argument against piracy-trolls... piracy rates certainly differ in different regions of the world. But, Russian PC gamers are not USA PC gamers. Neither are Eithiopian, Swedesh or Chinese gamers. Sorry, its a different crowd, and you have to accomodate for all differences and cannot make a reasonable argument by lumping different regions and demographics into one "group" to make any type of reasoned argument. If you are going to duscuss groups, you need to accomodate all the defining factors and relevant descriptors or else you just sound silly. ( or like a troll... )

The social and economic climates experienced by one area certianly do not hold true for the whole world.

So as I said, speak for yourselves and stop projecting your own poor behavior and groupthink on the rest of the world. K? Thnx.

Sure there are pirates int he USA as well, and everywhere else... but piracy is actually not a large motivator in publisher business decisions, nor is the industry dying, nor is it a bigger problem than it was 10 or 15 or even 20 years ago. It is a persistant factor, and not a particularly relevant one.
