Hmm. . . I don't know. To be a bit contrarian to your statement, you could say that it takes a bit of humility to say "These people do it really well, so we want to mimic them if we can and try to better it." OS is better than Windows and almost always has been, but Windows 7 is about as close as they've come. But, from reading your post I feel you have already made up your mind on this, hopefully one can see both sides in a situation such as this one. MS is by no means "nice" or "clean handed" but they do admit when they are wrong or bettered, and that is a lot more rare than a lot of people on the internet like to admit. My $.02.
