At one point, I hated FPSs too.
Then, I bought Bioshock. I played it, and started to enjoy the first person aspects. Slightly. And when I started playing Halo 3's multiplayer, I fell in love with it. Try multiplayer if you're not having fun in the campaigns. And try Gears of War 2 if you're not falling in love with first person shooters.
