When people hate a game on principle, they rank it lower than it deserves by a long shot.
Note some of the people insulting it in this very forum - you can go to forums a few weeks ago where they state that they WILL NOT buy the game due to missing features. And yet here they are giving their harsh reviews/defense of the reviews. So either they pirated a copy(likely) or opted to just bash it without getting to play it. And when they decide to bash it without playing it, why take into account anything good? No dedicated servers makes them angry, so the game gets rated as if it has SNES graphics and a set of glitches that render it unplayable... Rather than it being rated as a solid game with some missing features.
Don't let it bug you. Activision will still laugh all the way to the bank, and ignore them. You should too.
