My argument about South America and Africa is that if Catholocism was a true force for good....Wouldn't we see reductions in poverty? After all, the sum of the Bible can be found in the teachings of Jesus concerning helping others, and holiness. Given the results of the Catholic church...It's hard to say that they've been an overall force for good.

Of course, maybe I'm biased. They killed a lot of protestants because we thought differently.

That argument is retarded, religion doesnt have to do with the wealthness of a country, hell, europe was catholic.

All religions have crazy assholes and I dont think protestants are free of them, after all we saw some sick exorcism to a gay boy a few weeks ago, living in a country which is mostly catholic I havent heard any of that here on the news from catholic institutions.

Also, even if Im agnostic, catholic church has helped in many things and leads in some things as education in my country, they also have a strong institution which I think its the cause it gets so much hate, besides those things like not supporting gay people, but this is a thing most religions do too.

Also, maybe living in a country where the mayority is catholic leads people to be more open minded just for the sake of being normal, but Ive haerd catholics in USA are a bit extreme, but hell, everyday we get crazy news from the USA and their religios people.

Yeah,  Catholic Church does a lot of good in South America... you gotta wonder if it balances out though... since some of their other stances tend to hurt africa.

I dont support the catholic church, it just makes me laugh that protestants think they are somewhat better when they have things like exorcisms to gay boys. Religion have always caused bad things based on irrational stuff, its just that cathlic church is older and more powerful.

Other thing, my main reaction was because of the ridiculous post mrstickball made with catholicism and poverty.

Evangelism is a bit different.

Since Protestants aren't really one religion like catholics you kinda have to go denomination by denomination with them.
