IW's new setup is not for piracy, they even admit as much. That they use steams DRM is their new anti-piracy, and is unrelated to IWnet. They honestly think IWnet is the way to go. TBH theyre really not trying to screw everyone, they just lost touch with their fanbase and are somehow hoping to get xbox like sales on PC with an Xbox like multiplayer.
