They claim in their FAQ that they do set their PS3 to have full range RGB, but I wouldn't be surprised if the PS3 wasn't "detecting" that their capture device "didn't support" it, and thus was overriding the full range output, in order to conform to the capture device's (probably not compliant) specifications.
