Very awesome looking gameplay video (better looking than Undisputed in my opinion) aired right before the Fedor Emelianenko/Brett Rogers fight.
The game seems to be coming to shape pretty well, even without the presence of any UFC fighters except Randy. They have the world's best fighter in Fedor Emelianenko (btw, did anyone watch that fight? that right hand could probably kill a grizzly bear), the world's most popular fighter in Randy Couture (garnered through an old contract dispute between Randy and the UFC), and a contract with Strikeforce, the second most popular MMA brand today.
Others who have already signed are:
Frank Shamrock (YES!)
Babalu Sobral
Jake Shields
Jason Miller
Brett Rogers
King Mo Luwal
Jay Hieron
Gegard Mousasi
Other popular fighters that will probably be signed through Strikeforce soon:
Fabricio Werdum
Antonio Silva
Alistair Overeem
Roger Gracie
Thierry Sokoudjou
Kevin Randleman
Cung Le (Oh please sign already, you bastard)
Robbie Lawler
Jacare (zomg, if he signs..)
Matt Lindland
Nick Diaz
Josh Thomson
Gilbert Melendez
Vitor Ribeiro
And lets not forget the women.. I think if they put a women's division, and get Gina Carano to endorse the game, it'll be great :D
Other popular fighters from outside Strikeforce that could potentially sign, since the other MMA orgs outside the UFC constantly co-promote:
Andrei Arlovski
Tim Sylvia
Sergei Kharitonov
Bobby Lashley
Ricardo Arona (this would be pretty big..)
Aleksander Emelianenko (Fedor's brother)
Paolo Filho
Mark Hunt
There's also a lot of room for expansion, most especially in Japan. Sengoku and Dream have some of the best lightweight fighters in the world, and if, say, Shinya Aoki and Takanori Gomi would sign with EA, that would make this game a sure hit in Japan.
I'm very much hyped for this game. I'm a huge MMA fan and having Fedor and Randy in the game is already a sure purchase for me. I think that having Fedor, Randy, and Strikeforce under their banner is enough to make this a million seller.
