Square-Enix fans aren't the only people that buy Kingdom Hearts though. It is probably mostly composed of a Disney fanbase.

I keep hearing this from people on VGC and I still don't believe. It's always been the Final Fantasy fanbase that also likes the Kingdom Hearts games. I'm sure that lots of Disney buy into as well, but don't think that Disney is the main reason for the sales.

I'm guessing we don't work in the same circles then.  Cause... most of the people I know who own KH are the kind of people that HATE final fantasy games.

I think your problem is your going from an online forum perspective and not a general one.

Take a look at the marketing, then tell me who the game sold to.

 

As for a port?  I guess they could... if they felt like screwing around with ports.  SE kinda seems a little burned by the port thing lately though.  I think they'd rather spend port money on cheap "western like" digital download titles.
