I think you are incorrect for many reasons, two of the more promenent ones being:

 1) Supporting software that does not live up to your expectations is always bad business. It does not encourage publishers to give you what you want, it tells them that they were correct in doing what they did. As to whether or not they (publishers/devs) are pleasing the consumers in adequit fashion, at the end of the day, the metric they use to judge this by is sales. Dishing out $$ for crap is counterproductive in regards to getting the games you want made, made. If IW does not support PC in the future, I , and many others could now care less -  if they are going to simply release crap like MW2.

I'm not suggesting that people support MW2 if it doesn't meet their expectations. I'm just saying that you shouldn't boycott it out of spite, or because you think you might change something, because it's most likely not doing you any good.

I think you are being very presumptious calling the game "crap." It's not even released yet. I think you have let your emotions  cloud your judgement. Not every game needs dedicated server support, or even a multiplayer option to be good, and even fantastic. If it needs those things for you to enjoy it, then it may not meet your expectations for what you thought the game might be, but it certainly doesn't automatically earn it a discriptive "crap" rating. It makes you appear completely unreasonable.

 2) People who were gung-ho about MW2 on PC to spend money to upgrade their PC to play MW2 (and thus supporting platform ie: increasing install base) are typically the ones most disheartened by the changes IW has made. It is not just the dedicated server issue, but a whole host of issues on how they are making PC version exactly like console, especially the FOV lock.

As for the uniformity of the games between PC and console, I understand why some are upset. However, most likely, the large majority of the PC audience won't care, and will still buy or pirate the game.

There are plenty of good FPS on PC out there that are worthy of our $$, MW2 is not one of them.

It's worth a lot of people's money, over all platforms. You seem to be trying to send a message with this boycott. I hope it works out for you all. However, you shouldn't criticize the buying choices of others. IW makes some of the best SP gaming out there, and I'll be buying it for that alone. Anyway, this is degrading into an unwinnable opinion war.

I'll answer you in red.

and I think if people buy MW2, it should be on consoles, which is the way it's meant to be, it's shit on PC and that won't change =P I live for FPS mod community on PC, without it, these big games mean nothing.
