$99 for an X-Box 360.... Smart move? Or an act of desperation?

MS released 360 1 year earlier to gain market share,had hardware problems because of that,they put the owners to pay for XBL,just to not add 50-100 to the price,so it can look nicer,they marketed everything like hell to have a bigger fanbase in the NA,lost millions in Japan,everything possible to dominate Sony.

The ps 3 dropped by 300$ because of 2 things:

1.For the casual people to buy it.

2.Production costs got lower.

Maybe there was once when they dropped it because of desperation,but just once.

Now tell me who has been more desperated? ;)
