$99 for an X-Box 360.... Smart move? Or an act of desperation?

360 sales would skyrocket no doubt but you have to ask yourself some questions:

 

Is the 360 that cheap to produce? Would this be a sign that the 360's lifecyle could be entering it's final stretch?

 

I have an Arcade myself, but I don't subsribe to XBL, don't plan on buying a hardrive and buy all of my games used.

How do you save your offline games if you dont have a harddrive???

It has an internal hard drive that allows you to install a few things.  My uncle bought an arcade friday and I went over to his house to help him set it up.  I had him order a $20 hard drive off of ebay.  But he still could install and watch netflix movies on the internal memory.  He also had enough hard drive space to download a few small arcade trials/demos, one of which was geometry wars2 (very fun game I may get it).
