Oh and what I mean by overall profit on the 360 is MS eliminates the cost of RROD and the first two years of loss overall by constant profit. They still have a billion or so to go I believe. But the last quarter they made 400+million so they only have a few quarters left to go in that case. |
It is extremely doubtful that MS made any deal with Amazon/Wal-mart regarding the recent $100 gift card promotion. If they wanted to do some sort of deal, it would be limited to only these two companies and it would most likely involve a mail in rebate.
These are just the holiday deals ramping up to try to get people shopping early and often.
