A lot of people feel like once some of your rights are circumvented by governments etc.. it just opens up more and more things that can and will be taken away from you. No you don't understand. If you own something, and you don't want people doing certain things in it, or with it, you can get them to AGREE to certain conditions. You are not forcing them to agree, however if they don't you have full right not to let them use it.
This is not a "GOVERNMENT TAKING MY FREEDOM AWAY!!" this is an example of "BAH I'M AN IDIOT I DIDN'T READ WHAT I AGREED TO AND I DON'T AGREE WITH IT!!". It's sad really.
You can't take away basic rights, however you can get people to agree that they won't do certain things while in your building, or using your service. PSN is a service, they don't want people misusing it, they also want to improve it, so they get people to agree to this, so they can be held accountable for their actions. If they didn't have a privacy polacy you could go on PSN and yell stuff like "NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER!" etc etc etc just whatever you like, or "hack"(AKA glitch) a game without being punished. Saying nigger, fuck, shit, piss etc is aloud no matter what you do, and that would give it a bad name. So you agree to not say those things, you are in essense giving up your freedoms while using this service, but those freedoms are not being taken from you. You can still say those things and no legal action can be taken agaisnt you, just revoked from the service, AKA banned.
