The first wave of Tea Party protests was dozens of protests each involving tens of thousands of people across the country, and estimates of the total protest had it well in excess of a Million people. Even if you assume that the estimates were high, the protests were as large as any anti-war protest that has received heavy coverage on CNN regularly.
When CNN chooses to report on 20 paid protesters from a partisan political organization while ignoring hundreds of thousands of legitimate protesters the only logical explanation is that CNN is choosing to report on elements for reasons besides of how news-worthy they're.
