And the PS3 did most of what it did while being MUCH more expensive than any of those consoles.

Yeah, its now 50% off after only a few years. That usually doens't happen unless a manufactuer is ready to throw in the towel.

Sony has only thrown in the towel at any chance of being financially successful.
