Well, now is probably a bad time for this thread. PS3 sales are surging, which is why it's getting all the praise. I imagine many people think it will continue to sell like this for a while (close to PSP levels), though I'm pretty sure it'll be coming down shortly after the holidays.
As for the software, I haven't looked at it, but are you considering how long the PS3 has been on the market? It takes time to buy software (after getting the hardware), and the PS3 has at least a couple years left in it.
@post above me: 6th. The NES did well in Japan, 19-20mil.
