I believe that digital downloads are the future for lots of media services. Many people say the hurdle is speed but I am more inclined to believe it is data capping at least for the short term.

The 360 for example has the Sky player/Netflix and shortly the instant on HD streaming, the PS3 has the BBC iPlayer/Netflix and equivalents. All these are data heavy applications. I am on a so called uncapped package but like most uncapped packages it is capped through the T&Cs.

I was looking at my BT Hub and in the last 44 days I have consumed 170GB of data. How many of you could realistically consume this level of data on your current packages and do you think it will be speed or the data cap that will be your barrier to digital downloads?
