My thoughts are pretty much in line with kow's - sure they improved, but I don't think it was worth the cost and I get the feeling the brand has taken a bit of a backlash from the whole ToV incident.
If I was MS I'd focus on US, then Europe then see what happens in Japan. I think they spend a lot of money/effort that would have been better focused on Europe.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
