shame konnichiwa, if you want my advice, the windows installers aren't great, and I'd go for a CD install every time. Although burning can be difficult, luckily for you, canonical will mail you CDs free of charge.

Just visit that site, give em your name and address, and they'll ship you as many ubuntu CDs as you want. It's a fantastic service, get 10 cds and give them out to your mates. You'll have to wait for delivery, but since you seem to be having a few issues with burning a CD, this might be the easiest option.
