The Republic of The Super Panda is a small, socially progressive nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 32 million enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.
There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded individuals concentrates mainly on Religion & Spirituality, although Commerce and the Environment are on the agenda. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Uranium Mining, and Soda Sales industries.
Nudity is frowned upon, the country's famous rainforests are being bulldozed by the mining industry, the streets are increasingly clogged with poverty-stricken beggars, and political parties are banned from advertising and receiving private donations. Crime is a major problem, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. The Super Panda's national animal is the alien, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the bill.
