why are people complainging about Gears? yes its an Epic IP but MS publish.
one of the main reason for somy pushing out new IP a see it is that they have the abillity. Thier first party in terms of studios owned by them and ones that work exclusively with them is HUGE.
MS first party is much smaller.
for nintendo i think theve become a victim of their own success. they have so many high quality popular franchises that many of theur teams are stuck doing the same games. even though theve primarily put out franchised games there are still people clamouring for more. With monolith soft and Project Sora aquisition theres a clear intent to get new IP. hopfully as they get franchises out of the way new IPs will become more common
