Having played the game through completely I can honestly say you're wrong, in fact it's arguably worth more.

Why not? It's still $15 on XBLA, so anyone picking it up 15 months late there has to pay $15 also. Prices don't regularly drop on digital distribution services. That's ultimately the downfall of having them.
