Actaully if 360 and PS3 were released at the same time, 360 would have still sold more than PS3, it was priced much cheaper and had XBL. I remember the PS3 controller didn't have rumble during launch due to dualshock patent lawsuit and they forced some "bullcrap" blu-ray disc drive that no one wanted (at the time), there were also less ps3 launch titles than 360 and PSN was still an unfinished website. 360 also had that crazy ass launch party out in the desert.
Of course nobody knew back then how much Sony would price PS3 nor how much later they would bring it to market.
