Yeah I'm not spending $1500+ just so I can play DA:O on PC. I'm always behind with my PC specs because gaming and multi media isn't the main reason I own a PC. And I want each of my PCs to last me several years without having to spend money on tweaking the specs for the next iteration of graphics, RAM and cpu.

My PC, graphics card and all, cost me a total of $500 two and a half years ago and easily plays Dragon Age on max settings with 40+ fps.

Yes, that would be in the USA where you can now buy a PS3 for $299, but here the PS3 costs $600 (down from $750). So, take your $500 and double it, then add another $500 just because well spec'd computers here are an easy target for high margins and then you will have the cost of a computer that can handle a game like DA:O where I live.

exchange rate at the moment is 72c US to $1. But everything is pretty much double or worse compared to US prices.

My 32" 720p Sony Bravia was $1250. How much is the same TV in your neck of the woods? $500 or less I'd guess.

I think the only thing that's cheaper here is sausage meat.

Yeah, that's about right, but $500 2 and a half years ago is $300 today.
