I don`t want to comment this, but I have to. I can mention a lot of games which is boring to watch for people that don`t play the game; gears, halo, gta. My girlfriend don`t like hardcore games. Maybe she swings the wiimote with me sometimes, but she could watch me play Demon`s Soul`s from the beginning to the end. And here`s why:
The game is artistic.
The game has no good and evil simple story.
The characters are mysterious and nothing typical.
And it`s damned exciting fighting enemies because they are hard as hell.

Of course it`s boring firing 150 arrows killing the dragon, BUT you HAVE to do it to kill it. That is exciting. It just tells you what this dragon bastard demands for being downed. Boring?

The really funny thing is what this blogger says at the end:

"Sure, I could praise the aesthetics: the game has atmosphere to spare and deftly uses it to rachet up the tension. The voice acting would chill Dickens. The walls would scare off mold. And the sound design is hollow, haunted and mostly music free, because music would make you feel safe. But that’s just garnish for the gameplay. By demanding your twitches and your tactics, by keeping you alert in even the most familiar passages, and by demanding and rewarding your total focus, it lures you into a state of serene concentration and sustains it for hours at a stretch. It’s not “flow”, because flow implies progress; it’s more like tantric sex with a slide rule. I don’t know how else to put it."

Is this boring to watch?
Yes, if you don`t like fantasy and games that developers puts their soul in to create more than gameplay.
But this game has it all. At least for me.

A little note at the end:
This game is a very good example to see the difference between eastern and western games.
Soul and no soul.

"Garl Vinland, go forth."
