Yeah. I leave games in for a long time too. Jumping in and out of several games can be fun, but having to drop back into the menu, eject the game, then load the other game and wait for it to start up... Not worth it if I just want to fool around in a game for a little while.

Actually on Gamecube I loved Sonic Collection and Namco Museum just because I could jump between a lot of good games on those discs.

Not every game has to be played in long play sessions. Popping in Mario 64 and grabbing 5 or 6 stars in a quick 20 minute session can be very satisfying.

How about Twilight Princess, as an extreme example. Some of the best levels in that game are flying on the twilight bird thing up the river, and fighting the moblin hoards on horseback. Those are levels that it would be fun to be able to just jump in and replay at some point. But I never have. I know I can reaccess the flying level somehow, but it would take me 5+ minutes fooling around to figure out how. The level only takes 5 minutes, so what's the point?

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.
