Bought it today. It's definitely built as a PC game. I always wondered why the graphics were sort of unimpressive... it's cause it's clearly built for the isometric view option in the PC version, in which the game looks gorgeous. Still not bad graphics in the over-the-shoulder views at all, but yeah, this is built as a PC game. Even more obvious is the gameplay, which closely resembles other PC RPGs of similar types.
I've read that the game is made way easier on consoles, and I can see why that would be. They had to dumb down the difficulty a lot to compensate for the lack of hotkeys, isometric views, and tactical pausing.
I'm sure it's still a good game on consoles, but having played it for a few hours now I can say with confidence if PC is an option for you here, more than almost any other multiplat this gen, this is a game you should buy on PC.
