Thing is, we haven't really seen any cool games using it (same goes for Sony's wands) so I don't think huge amounts of people will run out the instant it launches to get it. I also somewhat doubt the long term appeal of these things, looks kinda fun but hardly essential to me.
I know both motion techs are still barely past prototypes but there's no reason as of yet to be properly excited imo, too little too late is the best I can think of to describe their (MS and Sony's) motion sensing concepts.

I saw a demo of the Sony Wands with Little Big Planet co-op, and it was AMAZING! If that's how they incorparate the Wands, then it'll be a success, now it's just on how much they're making the consumer aware...i don't hear alot of marketing for Sony's wands as of yet. With Natal, we've seen only about 2-3 demos, Katamari, Richocet, and Burnout Paradise...all 3..not impressive really, but in the coming months, i'm sure a game will be designed specifically for it, instead of being tacked on as Burnout, and Katamari has been or a tech demo as Richocet has been.
