My vote is for the PS1 because of it's great library of JRPG. Suikoden I and II, FF VII-IX, FF Tactics, Breath of Fire 3, Legend of Legaia, Chrono Cross, Alundra, Legend of the Dragoon, Xenogears, Grandia, Wild arms 1 & 2 and lot's lot's more.

Earthbound, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, FF IV, FF VI, Breath of Fire 1, Breath of Fire 2, Illusion of Gaia, Secret of Evermore, Super Mario RPG, Illusion of Time, etc

 

SNES had a great library of JRPGs too!

Plotwise though, they just cannot be compared to the PS1 JRPGs.



Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.
