| TheSource said: we have to use cygwin...i kind of hate it... i'm more comfortable in visual c...but thats a whole nother issue. I'm pretty hit or miss with c++. I tend to either do everything badly or very well for my assignments, but i'm more consistent on the tests which are worth more so i'm ok. At the rate cygwin is downloading though i'm going to have maybe 90 minutes of time to install to program this entire thing, which is why i need the code to be perfect as i head in to the program edit: what i really resent is that i'm a history major and i took this class for the potential of being able to help ioi but it is kind of backfiring a bit. |
They do that to force people to learn c++ rather than how to write c++ with the IDE holding your hand. Theres more than enough people in the industry that are rendered useless when you take their IDE away. As for helping out ioi, programming is a case of a little knowledge being a bad thing. I'm not trying to discourage anyone wanting to learn to program (whether at uni or by themselves) but it takes at least a couple of years before you would be competent enough to work on a high traffic website like this (allot of 'proffesionals' never get that good). On a side note, why the hell does the quote button need to insert tables?
