The Falcons really gave it their all. Between the bad call, the Michael Jenkins drop and the missed 34 yard field goal from Elam, it really cost them the game.

Did you see Payton on the sidelines though? That dude cries about EVERYTHING. You could have showed him all the video evidence, and had stopped time and let him go up to Jenkins and see his toes were in bounds and he had control of the ball, and he still would have cried about the call. Then he cried about Pierre Thomas' fumble also, and that was as obvious as day. I didn't see Mike Smith cry bullshit on any call in the Saints favor, including the holding call on Peterson. That's the different between a coach that is a class act like Smith and another Bill Belichick in the making like Payton.

I did notice, and I think its a weakness of theirs to be honest.  You can't have that kind of toxic attitude being set as an example on a football team.  The big-play players will sail over it no problem but when negativity pervades anything that goes against you it will have an effect on your more marginal players and in any team sport you're only as good as your weakest position on the field.  A team like the Patriots that are notorious for engaging in mind games can really exploit that and it could cost them.

It will be very interesting to see that game....
