Last year Wii sold over 731K in this time period, this year it'll do at least that, probably more, so even if FF13 pushes 500K, that's still way below what even a conservative estimate of Wii's sales will be

You seem to misunderstand. Famitsu and I are saying FF XIII will push an ADDITIONAL 500k. On top of what it would normally do.

Even if we assume that its on top of their normal sales, last year was 345K, that would be 845K, so basically all Wii would need is a 16% boost over last year to trump the best case scenario for the PS3, sounds like Wii has a very good chance of beating the PS3

So much twisting...my back hurts! Wii gets a 16% boost, sure. What about PS3's boost? I mean, it just dropped $100...

Its boost is in the 500K sales of FF13

You don't think it'll also get a boost from the effects of the price cut? The boost won't be solely from FF XIII. Not everyone is interested in it. It should get a boost just because of the lower price as well, for people who like Gundam, etc.

You really think PS3 will get that high, seriously? Ok, well I'll save that for the future, lol, even Wii and PS2 in their best holidays only did around 1.2 million in that same period, so yeah the chance of PS3 doing as well as you are thinking, is slim at best

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)
