rccsetzer said: It is not surprising. In 2010 PS3 will win by a larger margin. Everybody knows that Sony launched a console ahead of its time (the cell, blu-ray, free gaming network) , and lost much money because of that. In 2010 they will start to obtain profits through PS3 selling. Multiplats games don't do justice to PS3, because everybody knows 360 is, at the present, the hd console of choice for the majority of developers. This year things started to change in PS3 world (everybody is feeling it, no?) and now it will only get better. Mark my words. |
Have to strongly disagree there. Wii is slumping while PS3 I believe is nearing its peak. Nintendo crippled themselves with a severe software drought for the greater part of this year. Won't happen again.. As long as Nintendo keeps the momentum going with more software, Wii will have greater longevity than PS3.
PSP also was beating DS for awhile, but things eventually went back to normal and DS started winning in sales again. it just happens to be an intersection of one console slumping during the same time the other surging. Usually in Japan once a console is picked for the generation, things don't just change out of the blue.
