I guess. More often than not, samurai > ninjas. I'd rather wear a kimono and pwn people with katana than wearing some weird clothes with a face mask thing (assuming it's a typical ninja, as not all ninjas do that) and using ninja stars myself.

You're conception of ninja and samurai is the reason you think samurais are better.
Ninja and samurai are neither better nor worse than one another, and it does depend on the individual person. Ninjas don't have to wear weird clothes, they can go naked if they're stealthy enough. Ninjas use a short sword, throwing stars, a broom, ninjas are masters of their environment, they are not limited to throwing stars... Samurai are limited by tradition a lot more than ninjas...

Samurai have tradition but it's not like it stops them from kicking ass. I like a fighter who effectively just attacks out in the open than someone who just does it all in stealth. Stealth is suspenseful, but head on is cooler.

It's very true that tradition doesn't limit you from kicking ass. Stealth is only as suspenseful as you perceive, and there's nothing stopping a ninja from going head on, stealth gives your muscles more training.
