WessleWoggle is partially right. A lot of bodily problems have their origin in our mind and that's why we can suggest our mind to act differently in order to avoid those problems. Our mind is very powerful (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychological_pregnancy). For instance, if you think "I can't sleep, I can't sleep" and you don't try to break that mental cycle, is very likely that you will keep having problems.

My Christian point of view is that these mental problems are related to the soul, hence they are spiritual problems the most of the time.

What I don't understand about WessleWoggle is: if you talk so much about mind control, why don't you tell your mind "I don't need drugs to be happy"...

See, that's the thing my friend, I don't need drugs to be happy, and I'm happy without drugs. I've never paid for drugs in my life and only do it when others have it, because it makes this wonderful thing called life even more wonderful. Plus, I don't think drugs are bad for you unless you think they are.
