If these numbers turn out to be true (and it isn't a stretch to think they will), Wii will have been beaten on it's home turf in yearly sales for the first time ever. That should definitely serve as a wake up call for Nintendo. Let's hope it lights a fire under them and gets them to release some better software! Goes to prove you can't rely on the casual audience alone.

Gratz to the PS3. They deserve the accomplishment and some respect this year. Sony has indeed been working hard.

I will however now reply is a snickering form the bolded comment. "Goes to prove...." Well that's all fine and dandy, but I think we all know where 360 and PS3 which in fact relied solely on the enthuiast market. It let Nintendo sky rocket past them. In fact Nintendo made so much money that the other companies are playing massive catchup. Nintendo did not rely on "casuals"(gotta love the derogitory term). Animal Crossing was never considered "casual" on past releases. Brawl, SMG, Crisis, Metroid.... I think the fact of the matter is Dustin is just an individual who likely got into VG in the PS era and is now acting like Nintendo fans during the rise of the PS1.

Anyways I do think Sony deserves a pat on the back, and a kick in the butt just to make sure they remember 2006-2008 behaviour.
