SCE execs have been pushing the "profitability next year" line since 2007. Don't put all that much stock in it.
I think we may see division profitability sometime next year, but that'd mean foregoing a price drop probably. Which was originally the plan for this year.
And then, there's also the $5 billion in debt racked up already they'll need to recover from. That's going to be slow and probably painful...
