blunty51 said: SNES: Well I choose it basically because I've had the opportunity to play more games on it. I've still played quite a few games on the PS1 but they didn't wow me enough I guess. Lens problems didn't help either. So I enjoyed the SNES more.
Fav games would be the usual...Zelda, Mario, Metroid. 3rd party would be Battletoads, MK2, Super Contra |
What lens problem? I haven't heard of this before.

There's actually been a few lens issues with the PS1. Some burnt out prematurely, others would get off alignment, or the worst one, was that the lens would come up too far and scratch the disk. I did have one in that last category, and fortunately, caught it before it rendered the disk unreadable. (Hearing a scratching sound from the disk drive is never a good thing.) |
Oh, I see now. Very true too, I went through 3 PS1s myself. It was just such a damn good console that I just sent it back and got replcaements.

Ahh, yea. Very true, i also had some disc scratching, but it wasn't that bad (i think, it's been awhile). Nothing beats the blow/wipe combo of the SNES though,
3 - PS1's wow...but i don't blame you, i'd keep buying them also, Tekken, Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot, and Street Fighter would've been enough for me to keep going back.
